Why I'm a Little Concerned about the Planned Parenthood Protest Tomorrow

To be honest with you, I'm a little uncertain about the protest against Planned Parenthood tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong. We should definitely be crying out against the atrocities that are taking place in these clinics all across our country. However, I guess deep down inside, I'm worried that the protesting and emotion might overshadow the true mission that should be focused on and that is loving others. After all, it was God's goodness that led US to repentance.

As I was praying about this event, certain things came to mind.

What if the protest signs said "Free Diapers" and "We care about you" and people showed up with visible expressions of their LOVE for CHRIST that flowed over to the hurting moms that might show up at that clinic tomorrow.

Or perhaps, you're in the position to offer a job to an abortion worker. Because I'm guessing some of them might feel desperate too, but their desperation is about getting food on the table for their family.

I am, by no means, excusing the horrible choices that are being made by all parties involved at Planned Parenthood. But what I do know is that God's Word tells us to love our enemies and to bless them.

Romans 12:17-21 "Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do your part to live in peace with everyone, as much as possible. Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God. For it is written, 'I will take vengeance; I will repay those who deserve it,' says the Lord. INSTEAD, do what the Scriptures say: 'If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink, and they will be ashamed of what they have done to you.' Don't let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good."

Pray about where God wants you to be tomorrow in relation to this event.

But if you go, consider taking diapers, baby blankets, onesies, Gospel tracts and information about the nearest crisis pregnancy center--anything that might reach just one Mom and give her the eternal hope she needs, as well as some earthly provision. ‪#‎thegoodnessofGodleadsustorepentance
