Thanks so much for reading Purposeful Homemaking. My name is Becky and I am a simple girl who is passionate about making a home for my family. I realize that having a husband and children are a blessing and I want to be purposeful in making life beautiful for them. From that passion grew Purposeful Homemaking where I strive to encourage and equip others in the art of Christian homemaking.
I'm particularly passionate about teaching our five children about the greatness of God, homeschooling, using essential oils in our home, eating real food without driving myself insane or broke and simply learning more about God who made it possible to grow in each of these areas. Writing has been a natural outpouring of the knowledge I have gained over the last several years and as a result, three ebooks have been written: Early Potty Teaching: A Natural and Gentle Way to Potty Train Your Little One, Topical Devotions for Pregnancy and A Wife's Guide to Studying Proverbs.
Making a home for my family is crucial and I often feel the weight of my calling.
I find myself continually asking the Lord for help so that I will have wisdom and direction in how to be a godly wife and mother. I know that if I seek His face above all else He will gently lead me in the way that I should go. I'd love for you to join me on my journey as I write posts about real life homemaking, motherhood, my faith in Christ, marriage, homeschooling, training children, sharing recipes and more.
I am definitely a work in progress and if you are too, you are in good company. God lovingly reveals to me all the areas I need to grow in and as I press more into Him and His Word, He quietly chisels away at my stubborn heart so that each day I reflect just a little bit more of Him.
