Hope, Mercy and Why I'm Celebrating Christmas

I know it can be tough to get Christmas cards out and even tougher when the holidays aren't as joyful as we would like them to be. In fact, when life is hard, we're tempted to not even celebrate the Christmas season. But, truly, it's the best time to do just that because if it weren't for our Savior's birth, we would indeed be without hope. Because He came to earth we have hope of a future in heaven.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Because of circumstances in my own life right now, I'm acutely reminded about what mercy is how it is such a critical part in my redemptive relationship with God. It was His complete mercy that He even saved me. It's easy for us to see ourselves as "not too bad" but when life turns us upside down, we have a much more clear picture of what we're really like and the good news about His mercy in our life comes into focus.

"Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." I Peter 2:10

I know that Christmas isn't going to be "the most wonderful time of year" for many people BUT I pray that we would use this time of year to bless and encourage others and to stop and reflect on the good things that did come across our path in the past year. And when we step outside of our own hurts and fears, we find that many other people are struggling too. So why not be a blessing and send a Christmas card with a little note of hope and grace in it? I'm confident that if you do so, it will brighten someone's day.

Minted.Com

Since this is a sponsored post, I do need to let you know about a very wonderful company that I have the privilege of working with again this year. If you want to find beautiful, unique Christmas cards, Minted.com is the place to go.

But, keep in mind, they don't offer just cards.

There are plenty of other personalized items available such as calendars and even journals and notebooks. Last year I took advantage of my partnership with Minted to get each of our kids their own personalized journals and notebooks and they LOVED them. In fact, one child was hinting that she'd like another one, but it might be Momma's turn to take advantage of working with Minted and splurge on some Christmas cards. :)

However, I may change my mind and get something "gifty" instead like these precious silhouettes, foil stamped stationery, Foil Wall ArtPhoto Calendars (another strong possibility for me!) or Themed Gift Wraps (so cool!) Making a decision will be the hard part!

And, to make your shopping experience a little more fun, here's a Cyber Monday Discount Code for you. And if you're like me, you want to take advantage of the discount but don't have time to actually get the cards designed and ordered today. No worries because Minted offers a Buy Now, Personalize Later option. Perfect!!

No matter what your days are like right now, I pray that your Christmas will be full of unexpected blessings this year!
