Sweet Bottoms Baby Review and Giveaway

What is Sweet Bottoms Baby?

Well, at first I thought they were just another resource for cloth diapers. And, they are that. But, wow, they are so much more!

They are your one stop boutique for all things natural for mom, baby and home.

Sweet Bottoms Baby was started by Beth so she could provide families with a variety of natural products. Each product in her on-line boutique has been carefully selected to enhance your natural parenting experience.

Sweet Bottoms Baby Has so Much to Offer

They cover maternity needs such as this stylish belly band,

Products for your children like this cute padded grocery cart/restaurant high chair cover,

And even things like this beautiful diaper bag clearanced for only $29.99 (grab it while you can!)

They also have lots of helpful items like natural hand sanitizer (which I ordered so I can stop using alcohol-based hand sanitizers. I use a lot of hand sanitizer on the kids in the winter (cringe) when we've been out in public so I'll be glad to make this switch.)

Hand sanitizer is a great thing to have with you for those really nasty times with kids.

Like when we were at the playground recently and my two year old came over to me with something on his ands and ick, it was dog doo-doo. Yep, I sure am glad someone invented hand sanitizer for times like that!

I was also really excited to find this on their site, too!

A baby carrier designed for the water! I've told my husband before that I wish someone would invent a baby carrier for the water. I'm glad someone did because when I've gone to the pool with three little ones, it would have been nice to carry the baby in something like this. Much safer this way!

As a side note...in order to give our children one more safety precaution around water, they have all completed the Infant Swimming Resources classes. Check out this video below of our three kids. Our friend, Anna Anderson is a phenomenal instructor! If you don't live in my area, but our interested, she can set you up with another instructor out of state.

What we Reviewed from Sweet Bottoms Baby

We reviewed the EcoPosh One Size Fitted Pocket Diaper. This is definitely a top of the line diaper. It is 4 diaper sizes in ONE diaper. It is designed to fit a sweet little baby from birth (6 lbs) to potty training (35+ lbs). This allows you to only have to buy one set of diapers rather than multiple sizes as your child grows.  I love this aspect of the diaper!

Our little guy loves his incredibly soft eco-posh!

I specifically wanted to review a diaper that was designed to withstand overnight wear. The Eco-posh diaper comes with a free bamboo "Rumparooz 6r Soaker" and it is definitely well-padded for night time.

However, the first time our son wore it to bed he did wake up at 5 am (sigh) which never happens. So, I'm not sure if it was because he felt wet or what happened exactly. I don't have a great diaper cover to go over it so that probably didn't help either.

Beth had originally suggested we try the Applecheeks, but they were out of stock. Maybe next time. Regardless, Beth has many cloth diapers available in her boutique and she'd be happy to help you find the one that works best for your baby.
"This unique and super thirsty insert will grow with the diaper and has 6 different size and absorbency settings to customize for your baby's need. The 6r Soaker also has custom settings for the different areas that girls and boys need absorption most." Wow! source

(If using this for nighttime, it will be rather bulky when using two inserts, the diaper and a cover, but this doesn't bother me. It would not be this bulky for day time use.)

What We Loved
Besides the amazing facts I mentioned above, this is the first cloth diaper I've tried that the scent of urine was barely detectable after a nap, and certainly not extremely offensive after night time wear.  I've had some cloth diapers that were so harsh smelling even after just a couple hours I could hardly stand it.
It is very soft on the inside and is 50% bamboo, 20% organic and 30% polyester. The outer covering is made from recycled water bottles and organic cotton!
It really is a terrific diaper.
Suggestions for Improvement
The only two drawbacks I have found with this diaper is that it is made in China, (I would prefer USA.) and I wish it did not require a diaper cover. (I don't have one that works that great with it.)

When you add in the price of a diaper cover, it does tend to make for an expensive diaper. However, a set of these should meet all of your diaper needs from birth to potty training so it will still come out cheaper than buying disposables.
