Green Beans and Sausage {Yum!}

This is a recipe I came up with one evening and my some-what picky 4 year old said, "This is so good!" Now granted, he does love him some green beans. Especially fresh from our garden.

Unfortunately, these weren't from the garden, but if you're going to try this recipe, I'd definitely go with the fresh variety rather than the frozen.

So, here's the recipe for Green Beans and Sausage (I know, super creative recipe name, isn't it??) Oh well, at least it tastes good!

I made this recipe large enough that our growing family would still be able to have leftovers. So, if you're family is smaller, then feel free to cut this recipe in 3rds or so.

Here's what you need:

  • 3 packages of smoked sausage
  • approximately 4 cups of chicken bone broth (You can use chicken broth, but the flavor won't be as strong--or good for you!)
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 8 c. fresh green beans
Put your bone broth in a large stir fry pan and start heating up. In the mean time, slice your sausage into bit size pieces. Add those and get them started cooking. Slice your onions, separate the slices and add to the bone broth and sausage. Wash and trim your green beans and add those in last. I let it all cook together for about 20 minutes. It tasted amazing!

I hope you'll give this easy, but yummy, recipe a try!
