For as long as I can remember, I have been a lover of all things food related. I love to eat it, I love to look at pictures of it and I love to collect recipes of things I want to eat. I don't always LOVE to cook, but sometimes I do. I mostly cook because I love to eat. 😏
Even as a child I collected recipes from my mom's magazines and made my own makeshift recipe "book".
To this day, one of my favorite things to do is to pour over cookbooks looking for just the right recipe to try for my family. {Update: It's 2018 now and I scour Pinterest instead.) 😉
When finding a new recipe, it must be fairly easy, not have weird or expensive ingredients, be nutritionally beneficial and something I think we will enjoy eating.
Not too much to ask, right?
But these days I've found myself tinkering in the kitchen coming up with my own recipes and it is just as fun as scouring cookbooks.
So, here's an original recipe from yours truly. I've tried the recipe out on my family twice now and got approval from them each time. And just for extra measure, I had a friend try it and she liked it, too.
I hope that you like the recipe as much as we do. Click on the recipe card above for a 4x6 printable.
