Proverbs 3:3 "Never let loyalty and kindness get away from you! Wear them like a necklace; write them deep within your heart."
This passage has spoken deeply to my heart and it's an easy passage to meditate on whether I'm interacting with my husband or my children.
The ultimate goal here is to display loyalty and kindness to those around me in the same way I would display a necklace for all to see.
If I were looking for someone that was loyal to me, I would look for someone who is faithful to me even when I wasn't faithful back, someone who assumed the best about me, covered me with love and respected me.
That's what I want to be to my husband. I know I'll miss the mark more often than not, but I want loyalty and kindness to be what guides my relationship with my husband.
Today's step towards a stronger marriage is this: strive to make loyalty and kindness guide my relationship with my husband.
