Super Skivvies Day-Time Training Pants Review and Giveaway!

I recently learned about Super Skivvies and was super happy that Steph, founder of Super Skivvies, wanted to participate in our Bye-Bye Diaper event!

Steph sent me a pair of choo choo train Super Skivvies for Caleb to try. I think they are super cute! Some things I noticed right away upon opening our package was that Steph packed the Skivvies nicely and even added some little stickers in the bag for Caleb. She also included a code for 10% off my next order.

Another thoughtful feature I noticed right away is that the tag on the Super Skivvies is sewn on the outside so as to not cause irritation on your child. This impressed me because it means Steph has put a lot of thought into her product.

Something else that caught my attention was the liner. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the liner in the crotch. INCREDIBLY soft! The liners are made from rayon (from bamboo) and organic cotton velour. You'll probably be jealous you don't have a pair of these to wear. :)

Included with your Super Skivvies "is a removable insert consisting of three layers: rayon (from bamboo) and organic cotton fleece. Just tuck the insert into the crotch lining and your undies are trainers! Super Skivvies are not an alternative to diapers. Including the insert, there are five layers of protection. Enough to contain a single accident."

Another great thing I liked about these skivvies is the extra insert I mentioned above. This is great because it's like two pairs of underwear in one. One for while your child is potty training and another for when your child is ready for straight undies. I think this is brilliant!

Prior to trying Super Skivvies, I had never heard of using Bamboo in Day Time Training Pants, but I like what I know now! Here are some facts I learned about Bamboo:

-It is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers
-It is 300% more absorbent than cotton (bamboo becomes more absorbent with each washing!)
-Biodegradable
-Breathable
-Hypo-allergenic (perfect for my sensitive little guy)
-Antimicrobial (LOVE this about it!)
-Moisture wicking

Sounds like the perfect material for the inside of little skivvies, don't you think??

These daytime trainers are not waterproof, which is great, because as I mentioned previously in my potty training post you WANT your child to feel when he/she is wet. (and YOU want to know too!) Another awesome feature is that they fit my 20 month old pefectly in the crotch (He's wearing the 2T-3T). When I have bought the Gerber brand 2T-3T they are always saggy in the crotch and I don't think that is as effective to my child feeling wet as these are. Overall, I have to say this is a GREAT product and very well made! LOVE THEM! :)

I want to show you some pictures of my little guy in his Super Skivvies. He sure was enjoying making it hard for me to take a decent picture. Goofy kid!
